Completely retarded? or decent idea?
I'm trying to build an illusion mesmer hero to run with my discordway. Fevered Dreams looks nice... but it's only useful against mutliple healers. Because otherwise, targets just die too fast and heroes will waste a lot of time casting it when it's not needed. Tease looks decent too, but I'm trying to find an elite that does damage.
Anyway, here's my idea:
Fragility
Clumsiness
Wandering Eye
Incendiary Arrows
Distracting shot
Power Drain
Drain Enchantment
Waste Not Want Not
At 4 WS, IA does 2 seconds of burning, combined with fragility, it'll do 68 AoE damage every ~6-7 seconds.

This is for a hero? I'd love to see Norgu actually do this correctly - i.e. cast Fragility, then use IA on that same target immediately after.

through past experience with heroes and waste not, want not, they basically never use it because the only time pve enemies aren't really attack is when theyre bugged or knocked down.
The rest looks really interesting.

Considering Heroes can't weapon switch, you'll never see this.

I missed the update where holding a bow caused spells to fail, but I agree that I'll never see it.

I personally wouldn't find it any fun to have to open my inventory and manually force my heroes to weapon switch every 8 seconds or less for dshot.

Whats all this about weapon switching? Just give the hero a bow. As zelgadissan said, Its not like they need to have a wand if they are a caster.

After I saw the buff to fragility I instantly thought conditionway would somehow make it's way into the pve meta. This could definitely start the ball rolling. I thought of something like the mandragors at first but this idea looks pretty sweet and could be very interesting with a few tweaks. For a human player cry of pain should work quite well but I see the logic in using interrupts on heroes too. Are there any quick ending condition causing skills like IA? This would be pretty sweet too with a human player with cry of pain and those crystal dupes too. Is the damage from fragility armor-ignoring? Oh lol this would be awesome with discord! I see the synergy.

what about just glyph of immulation
then fragilty itself would burn and power drain etc... and you could just keep a caster set on your hero
PS you may have to micro manage the glyph

[Fragility] + [Virulence] with a very low death magic sounds pretty fun. If you can add in [Epidemic] it sounds even more fun. I'm not sure how well it would work in practice, but it sounds fun.

(taken off my post in unofficalGW)
The good thing was that the spike was noticeably stronger then the FD one. But you'd have to be very close to your target if you want to take advantage of [channeling] and I think that kind of defeats the purpose of the tank.
I guess its all about what area your doing. The FD build features a lot more shutdown, while the Epi/Frag features more spikes at the cost of shutdown and maybe survivability and management.

(with this build, you need to 23456, tab, 76, tab back ["finish him"] 4.)

When using Glyph of Immolation to cast fragility, the initial burning does not trigger fragility but the end does.
